more language

26 10 2009

“asshole” and “shit”: two things natural to every body; our language has turned what is natural into curses, negative things.
sidenote: we’ve all be born–why is it so taboo to think about the fact that our parents have had sex? this isn’t our language, but our culture, hiding our nature.

along with nature, why do we “fall” in Love instead of rise to love? or do we just realize the love that’s always been present we’ve forgotten about?

“hell yes!”; “hella”; etc.: imagine what it would do to our every-day experience if instead of comparing enthuthiasm to hell, we compared it to heaven. i dont know what the heaven would happen, but i think its a heaven of an idea to be sure as heaven. hey, what the heaven?

in the hopi indian language, there is no word for “bad”, or the negative aspects of the spirit of life. think about this for a moment. europeans told hopi’s that some things were bad, and they asked, “What’s bad?”

imagine a language with no word “fault” or “shortcoming”… imagine life with no language… imagine…

Imagine there’s no “Heaven”
It’s easy if you try
No “hell” below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no “countries”
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no “religion” too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not “the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no “possessions”
I wonder if you can
No need for “greed” or “hunger”
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
